Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa: Fun for Mom & Dad

September 7, 2015 //  by Brian Johnson

If you enjoyed reading about our room and activities for kids during our stay at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, then you’ll love this one – fun for Mom and Dad!

On our second night at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, we decided it was time for Mom & Dad to have some fun with a date night – something we rarely get to do. Fortunately, Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa caters to families that travel together.

How you may ask? With Kids Quest – a parent’s dream and a kid’s playground. Kids Quest is a child care service offered onsite at Red Rock, Casino and Resort. The cost is about $9 per hour, per kid, and you can leave your kids there for up to 5 hours.

There is so much for your kids to do at Kids Quest. They have a giant play structure, an arts and crafts area, an iPad station, movie station and so much more. I wish we could share more pictures, but no pictures are allowed inside for the other kids’ privacy. However, you can see images on the Kids Quest website.

We felt very comfortable leaving our girls there while we went out for the night. Actually, we didn’t even need to leave Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa because there’s so much to do there. We don’t gamble, but if you do there is plenty of that!

There are your standard casino bars if you want to grab a drink.

There’s a live music venue at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa too if that’s your thing!

And there are tons of onsite restaurants to choose from too. Now you’re speaking our language! We decided we wanted to go out to dinner, but we didn’t know where so we went for a walk around the resort to see what was offered. Here are a few of the on site restaurants at Red Rock, Casino Resort and Spa.

Mercardito Red Rock
Spanish for “little market,” Mercadito is modeled after the markets chef Patricio Sandoval shopped at while growing up in his native Mexico. The cuisine of Mercadito encompasses everything from handmade corn masa tortillas used for tacos to freshly prepared ceviches, guacamoles, and salsas.

Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar offers guests pure, carefully crafted house-made fare from the highest quality sourced ingredients. Enjoy artisanal salads, shared plates, charcuterie selections and signature entrees made from scratch, while also indulging in wine from Hearthstone’s impressive wine list.

The extensive menu of American fusion cuisine at Yard House has more than 100 items and 130 taps of imported craft and specialty lagers and ales. Whether you’re in the mood for a grilled burger and a pint of your favorite ale or seared Ahi and chilled martini, Yard House has something for everyone.

Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ offers slow-smoked barbecue, flavorful appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, sides, and desserts, served with a large helping of down-home, and friendly service.

After walking around, we settled on 8 Noodle Bar because it’s something we can’t get it at home and it sounded delicious! We love that they had an open kitchen and you could see them preparing all of the food. We sat at the bar so we could get the full experience of 8 Noodle Bar.

Spicy Shrimp Bowl at Noodle House inside Red Rock Casino
The entire menu looked amazing, but we both ordered the Spicy Shrimp Bowl – it was delicious! We highly recommend it.

After dinner, we walked around a bit more. We thought about going to see a movie, but decided to pick up the girls from Kids Quest and go back to our room and watch a movie as a family. Kids Quest must have been fun because Kaylee did not want to leave! It took a good 15 minutes for them to get her to come to the front.

Next time we go to Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, we’ll definitely be using the Kids Quest service again!
