We Have Raccoons!

September 15, 2011 //  by Chrystal Johnson

One of the things I love about living in the mountains is being surrounded by wildlife. I love that my girls get to grow up so close to the earth. We love to sit out on the porch and watch the squirrels, chipmunks and birds (we even saw a bald eagle recently) play in the yard.

Recently, we discovered a family of raccoons is living under our house. At first, Brian was adamant that we stayed in the house once they were out for the evening. However, we quickly realized that they are quite friendly! They hate me (they run away if I get too close), but they absolutely LOVE Brian (we don’t let the girls near them).

So I just had to share a couple of cute pictures!
