5 Tips for Acting Like a Real Life Princess

October 14, 2014 //  by Chrystal Johnson

This is a sponsored post we did for Disney on Happy Mothering several years ago. The girls were so cute in it, I just couldn’t part with it, so I moved it here to Our Family Crushes!

Disney movies are huge in our house right now since my girls are 4 and 6. So when we heard that Walmart was celebrating the release of the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Gift Set, which includes the Sleeping Beauty DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Copy and a bonus Disney Bound DVD, we were excited to go party like princesses.

The girls must have had radar because we found the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Gift Set in no time – and it was the last one left! They were really excited and I was stoked the set was only $24.96!

After we found the DVD set, we decided it was time to begin our journey of acting like real life princesses. It all starts with shopping like princesses…

1. Shop Like a Princess

The first step to acting like a princess is to shop like a princess. It’s very important to browse all of the shelves to make sure you find the perfect gown (aka princess costumes) for your role as a real life princess.

2. Dress Like a Princess

After browsing the selection of gowns available, make sure you try on every one available in your size to find the one that fits just right. Be sure to dance and spin in circles in each dress to be sure you can twirl like you imagine a princess would twirl.

3. Study Like a Princess

After you choose the perfect princess gown, go home and study all of the great princesses, like Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine and all of your favorites. You can do that by watching your favorite Disney movies! Make sure to take note of all of the fun things princesses do so you can enjoy them too.

4. Eat Like a Princess

All of that studying is sure to have helped you work up an appetite! Choose an organic snack that won’t make a huge mess on your beautiful ball gown and enjoy every bite.

5. Dream Like a Princess

After a long day of shopping, dressing up, studying and snacking, it’s time to head to bed and have sweet dreams of your day as a princess. Tomorrow you can wake up refreshed to do it all over again.
