Linoleum

April 30, 2010 //  by Chrystal Johnson

It’s amazing how musical taste develops from such an early age. Zoë loves music, but she’s very specific on what she wants to hear and what she doesn’t want to hear.

She’s constantly asking Brian to, “sing, sing, sing,” which means get your guitar out and sing to me. And make sure you play the right song while you’re at it.

If he plays the wrong song, she’ll keep repeating “sing” until he plays the right one.

The right song is typically Linoleum by NOFX. Yes, my almost 2-year old daughter loves Punk music.

It’s hilarious.

No matter what she’s doing… even if she’s throwing a temper tantrum, if Brian starts playing Linoleum, she’ll get up and dance (aka, spin in circles until she falls down). It’s like she just can’t resist.

This video is a couple months old… her enthusiasm for the song has only grown since then.

What songs do your kids love?
